Special lunch in an exclusive, undisclosed location, work-related. For starters, we had sliced smoked salmon and a fresh salmon mousse on a green salad with rocket and curly leaf lettuce, garnished with cherry tomatoes and horseradish cream. Then the main course, consisting of sauteed lamb fillet in a red wine sauce with a touch of balsamic vinegar, accompanied by baked tomatoes, zucchini and small potatoes from the oven. Side dish: some steamed string beans.
Dessert was Crepe Suzette with an orange-Cointreau sauce with caramelized orange zests, with vanilla ice cream and a mint leaf to go with. A very strong coffee finished the meal- with ginger snaps and chocolates for the ones who weren't full enough.
Although not being very exciting, the food tasted very nice and was really well cooked. The chilled white wine made the rest of the working day pass really, really smoothly!
